住友商事本社18階

住友商事株式会社の新規事業を手掛ける部署のエリアリニューアルデザイン。
このエリアはミーティングや、イベントなどコミュニケーションを中心としたアクティビティを行うことを念頭に計画され、ビジネス寄りのアクティビティを効率よく行うことができる機能性と共にアクティビティ毎に空間を変更していく、可変性が求められた。

基本プランとして、パーテーションで仕切られたミーティングエリアが5箇所、窓側のベンチで作業ができるエリア、中央部分には緩やかなコミュニケーションを軸に、コラボレーションを促すようなエリア、そしてコミュニケーションのハブとなる簡易飲食スタンドをエリア入り口に設置可能とした。

また、家具、パーテーション等、空間デザインにおけるエレメンツは全て移動が可能なものとして、オリジナルのデザインを中心に配置した。
これらオリジナルデザインについては、周囲の既存ワークエリアの雰囲気とバランスを取りながら、事業部で働く方々が気軽に楽しく使えるように彼らのプロダクトを彷彿とさせる丸みを帯びたディテールをメッセージとした。

The area features five meeting spaces separated by partitions and a work area with benches by the windows. The central area is designed to promote collaboration and gentle communication. Additionally, a simple food and beverage stand can be set up at the entrance to serve as a hub for communication.

All elements of the spatial design, including furniture and partitions, are movable and can be arranged according to the needs of the space. The original design was created with the surrounding work area in mind, aiming to balance the atmosphere and make it easy and enjoyable for the division’s employees to use.
