The relocation of NTT Data Global Solutions (GSL), established as the core company for SAP business within the NTT Data Group, to a new headquarters signifies its ongoing commitment to supporting global strategies rooted in SAP solutions. This project involved the strategic move of GSL’s headquarters to better serve its expanding international operations.
To realize a “City ABW” (Activity Based Working) office – an environment designed to enhance productivity and engagement by considering the entire living sphere of employees – the new Nihonbashi office was positioned as the “GSL Base Campus.” It serves not only as the headquarters but also as a hub connecting various urban locations and diverse work styles, including remote work. The office is designed to efficiently facilitate hybrid operations regardless of the occasion.

When determining the layout, the basic module size was set to “W3000xD1200” to comfortably accommodate six people, allowing employees to work proactively. The characteristics of each area were planned to match specific tasks, incorporating group addresses while providing variations in communication. This creates a workflow that allows employees to easily choose a workspace based on their needs.

The overall material selection is based on bright, natural-tone wood materials, composed while considering the balance with existing materials. Within this, interior elements such as Japanese fabric dividers and bonsai are incorporated to catch the eye, creating a “Japanese” atmosphere in various places.

Today, we feel that there is a growing need to create comfortable work environments that are difficult to achieve remotely, as well as to develop mechanisms and spaces that promote communication and interaction.
